New York City Council Member Fernando Cabrera, a pastor at New Life Outreach International, a Bronx church, has started this petition to urge Mayor Bloomberg to allow prayer to be a part of the ceremony commemorating the tenth anniversary of 9/11.

After the tragic events of September 11th 2001, many Americans turned to prayer in order to cope with the extreme and unexpected loss of innocent life. Now, as New York City commemorates the tenth anniversary of this horrific event, Mayor Bloomberg is refusing to allow prayer to be included in the ceremony.
