Monsanto, a massive Missouri- based agricultural company, has repeatedly showed that it desires absolute control over the world's food supply. They have oppressed small, family owned farms and businesses that do not sell their genetically modified crops, lobbied or taken control of government positions for their own benefit, genetically engineered pesticide-resistant soybeans that only live for one year, forcing farmers to go to them and purchase more, and have taken sued these farmers for "copyright infringement" if ever they were suspected of saving leftover seeds from the year before.

This monopolization of the food supply, spurred from a primitive desire for power, will harm the economy along with the financial and literal health of the American people.
