Save The Scorpions

Save The Scorpions

The Issue

Scorpions are extremely valuable animals. They are very significant components to the environment and to the Earth's ecological communities. Despite the benefits these animals provide, scorpions are extensively exploited and persecuted.

One such example is the new drink called Scorpion Mezcal. Each bottle contains the body of a deceased scorpion. Scorpions often fall victim to being captured from their natural habitat and then killed and shipped out to support various trades (tourist markets, food/beverage industries, etc.). The scorpion mezcal drink is just one more example of the incessant exploitation that they face.

These animals have few advocates so I ask kindly that all members support this cause.
