Right now in Cancun, Mexico there are nearly a dozen tigers and other large carnivores that are suffering from a severe lack of care and medical attention. They are being kept in tiny jail-like cells located in an old building that was decimated by Hurricane Wilma back in 2005. They have spent the last four years nearly starving to death, and are suffering with serious medical issues like the tiger in the accompanying video. Multiple Animal Welfare Agencies have arranged to help save these animals - and have medical personnel and companies standing by ready to help - but the Mexican Government is stalling. We need your help in convincing the Mexican Government to go forward with this rescue. Please take the time right now to watch the video and sign this petition.  You can also make direct contact with those listed on the web site that is dedicated to saving these animals:

The only way they will be saved is if you get involved and help us contact as many people as possible. Please help! Thank you!

Please Help Tigers Suffering In Cancun Mexico

Dear Representative

It has come to my attention the Mexican government, at the behest of the Wild Animal Sanctuary and other animal welfare organizations, reviewed the situation regarding these suffering animals and agreed to help facilitate their rescue by willing and capable animal welfare organizations. However, less than a week after permission was granted, it has been rescinded, and now the animals’ future safety and welfare is uncertain.

I write to you today to ask for your assistance in reinstating the rescue of these special animals. For more facts, and details, please visit: http://www.savethecancuntigers.com/
Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Sincerely,

Supporters of The Wild Animal Sanctuary
