It is an urgent time for a positive change at Williamson County, TN's animal control, located at 138 Claude Yates Drive, Franklin, TN 37064-2085..
For too many years there has been lack of transparency, lack of fiscal responsibility, and lack of respect for life at animal control by management and some of its unaccountable and unqualified employees.
The county's elected officials have hesitated to pay attention to management misconduct and retaliations. This intended "oversight" has resulted in unnecessary spending of tax-payer dollars, the loss of public trust, and lost lives of innocent cats and dogs that could have improved their behavior and/or health with viable treatment and/or training, respectively.
As taxpayers, concerned citizens, and advocates for helpless lives, we request your attention to review the management's financial, human resources, and medical records and take recommended action to that end. We would also request that the director's position requirements be changed so that he or she be a Williamson County resident for at least five years, and all employees exhibit a true passion for animal advocacy.
We want an animal control operation above reproach that makes a positive contribution to the community with its primary mission to rescue, save, and recuperate helpless animals.
Please take action to restructure the careless management and some of the uncaring employees so that their only mission is to serve as advocates for innocent animals.
