Congress acted against sound science and the US Constitution when they attached a rider to the Federal Budget stripping endangered wolves of their much-needed protections. Section 1743 states:

"Before the end of the 60-day period beginning on the date of enactment of this division, the Secretary of the Interior shall reissue the final rule published on April 2, 2009 (74 Fed. Reg. 15123 et seq.) without regard to any other provision of statute or regulation that applies to issuance of such rule. Such reissuance (including this section) shall not be subject to judicial review."

The final clause is a direct violation of Articles 3 and 6 of the United States Constitution. It violates Article 3 because it attempts to claim that Judicial Review, a Constitutionally mandated check and balance, somehow does not apply. It violates Article 6 because it attempts to supercede our Supreme Law of the Land.

Wolves are a keystone species. Their presence has been proven to directly benefit the local ecosystem, increasing biodiversity and both floral and faunal health. The reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone National Park is the most well-known example of just how important wolves are to the wild.

However, wolves have become the victim of partisan politics, where misconceptions and myths have taken hold over truth and sound science. REPEAL THIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL ACT AND RESTORE FULL PROTECTIONS FOR WOLVES IMMEDIATELY!
