Charges have been raised drastically for offenders charged for sex crimes. These days any act of sexual natured acts can and will end up putting someone at any age on this sex offender registration list. It does sound like a great idea as we all have kids. But have we really sat down to think about who is on the list? there are 15 year olds that inappropriately touched someone. There are disabled kids that caused no harm. There are teens in a relationship with someone that lied about their age! There are innocent lives being put on a website and being treated as ADULTS IN A CRIMINAL SYSTEM. Kids that have no parents or guidance, kids that did not know better! This is insane. Stop pushing our kids to be worse criminals. Empower them and rehab their issues. Restore them and give them hope. Make them good people in life and yes punish them but do not use the extreme punishment method on them. An assessment must be made on each individual and a therapist should determine wether the child should be a registered offender for life or not. There are constitutional rights out there and noone is seeing fro them at all but a few people. I am only trying to defend our first time youth offenders or others with special needs not others that should be on this.
