The youths in Liberia have experienced situations of violence as result of the fourteen year civil crisis, many dropped from schools,with out skills for the job market resulting to early parenting, single teen age mothers and pregnant girls with the younger ones vulnerable to violence as result of being in the streets. BUPOTRA INC is a non profit organization founded in 2005 to improve the lives of disadvantaged youths, women an rural community dwellers over come the post conflict traumatic stress disorders through empowerment opportunities including skills training.</p>
<p>Liberia has experience a brutal civil crisis which resulted to the destruction of the fabric of society. Families are finding it difficult to cope with the lack of financial strength to feed, clothe,an provide basic social opportunities for their & nbsp;children, most of whom have experienced the conflict, born and went through the experience together with their ault family members. For a number of women, they lost their husbands during and right after the crisis, leaving them to find for themselves an the children with other relative children to cater to.</p>
<p>This situation becomes very stressful for these women an other youths both boys and girls that are living and supporting themselves in schools, other kids are in the street either with out & nbsp;care takers. This situation leaves these categories of disadvantage groups vulnerable to exploitation and abuse. The lack of non violence education also risk the increase of violence and intolerance as the transformation of the&nbsp;country will be achieve if there is affordable training and empowerment opportunities that seeks the involvement of the communities an the necessary stake holders in the process.</p>
<p>BUPOTRA INC talks with a number of private workshop owners to assist the training of the youths being identified that cannot afford the cost to attend academic or vocational institutions. With the availability of the support to cover the training of these motivated youths, the level of joblessness amongst the youths will reduce and the burden on the families also reduced as the youths will be in better position to assist in the domestic and community situations through solidarity a collaborative approach.</p>
