Quick disposal of all animals related pending draft bills in India - Sukanya Kadyan

The Issue

United Nations affiliated the International Organisation for Animal Protection - OIPA chapter in India appeal to the Her Excellency the President of India to ask all concerned for quick disposal of the following matters under time frame :
1. Draft Wild Life (Protection) Amendment Bill 2010
2. Draft Animal Welfare Act, 2011
3. Draft Dog Breeding Rules (Awaiting Law Ministry approval)
4. Draft Pet Shop Rules (Awaiting Law Ministry approval)
5. Draft on Aquarium and Fish Breeding Rules-2010
6. Ban on peacock feathers trade.
7. Ban on inbreeding in Zoo / rescue centers.
8. Rescue and rehabilitation of all captive Elephants.
9. Rescue and rehabilitation of all performing animals like monkey, snakes and all other birds and animals abused for personnel gain and profit.
10. Ban on White tigers breeding because this is not a species but disease due to inbreeding.
11. Legislation for Cheetah, which are being imported to India.
12. Animal Welfare Board of India may be replaced by the Commission on Animal rights and their welfare.
13. Ban on cow slaughter all over India.
14. Implementation of the Cattle Commission report, 2002.
15. Legislation for Police, BSF, Force animals.
16. Ban on experimentation on animals and promotion of alternatives.
17. Introduction of Project leopard in India and violation of guidelines issued by the Ministry of Environment and Forest may be a offense against the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
18. Ban on animal sacrifice.
Matter taken up with the HE The President of India vide No.
PRSEC/E/2011/06075 dated 22-4-2011 and MOEAF/E/2011/00181 dated 22-4-2011 with the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances.
