Put Personal Finance as a High School Requirement

Put Personal Finance as a High School Requirement

The Issue

I recently left high school unprepared for how finances actually affected me.

I had no idea what a IRA was, what a credit score was, how stocks and mutual funds worked, how to finance a car, how retirement works, how insurance work, or even how to effectively use a credit card to gain better credit and because of this I have slowly watched my friends spiral into debt not having an effective plan for the future.

I believe that having personal finance would help kids to understand how money effectively works in their own lives instead of just a bigger picture such as economics and I hope you agree.

Thank you for taking time out to read this and if you do agree please sign the petition.
