<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href='http://www.ifaw.org/ifaw_southern_africa/get_involved/take_action/index.php#x'>http://www.ifaw.org/ifaw_southern_africa/get_involved/take_action/index.php#x</a><br /><br />Protect Wild Tigers<br /><br />At the 14th Conference of the Parties to CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) in June 2007, 171 Parties to the Convention agreed to a decision by consensus that urged parties not to breed tigers for the trade in their parts and derivatives. <br /><br />More the one year after this decision, tigers are still being bred on industrialized farms in China for the purpose of trade in their parts, stimulating a market for tiger parts and derivatives and providing an incentive to poach wild tigers. <br /><br />Please send an e-mail to the CITES authorities, urging them to fully implement the CITES decision to ban the breeding of tigers for the trade in their parts and derivatives.<br /><br /><a href='http://www.ifaw.org/ifaw_southern_africa/get_involved/take_action/index.php#x'>http://www.ifaw.org/ifaw_southern_africa/get_involved/take_action/index.php#x</a>
