<p>Protect the "Everglades of the West"</p>
<p>The new Agreement in Principle (AIP) unveiled in November 2008 by the Bush administration seeks to lock in policies that have led to <b>massive fish kills</b> and harmful agribusiness practices on National Wildlife Refuge lands.</p>
<p>The agreement is being sold as a dam removal deal, but could actually make the ultimate goal of a free flowing river harder to achieve. Even if the AIP resulted in dam removal, it wouldn&rsquo;t happen until 2020 and we would be <b>sacrificing other conservation values</b> just to get the approval of a lame-duck Bush administration.<br />Use the letter form below to tell your elected representatives that Congress shouldn&rsquo;t let Bush dictate Klamath Basin policy after he is out the door. Tell them that the Klamath Basin needs real balance.</p>
