Give parents and educators a voice in the use of technology for autism.   Spread word of a unique, goal-directed collaboration linking parents, educators and administrators with the researchers exploring video-based instruction for use with Spectrum Education. 

Although VBI has been recommended for use with autism since 1971, it has only recently reached public awareness.  Shortly, it will become ubiquitous. 

As a collaboration, this project will give all stakeholders a voice in determining how this technology will be used. 

It will:

Help educate the public about this technology and its application to Spectrum education

Provide information, training and support services enabling parents and schools to use it effectively

Establish a central clearinghouse to facilitate the search for people and sites providing practical information. 

Create a data base enabling visitors to obtain a customized road map to facilitate their search

Connect all stakeholder groups: parents, educators, administrator, therapist, researchers and software publishers 

Provide advice for coordination of home/school partnerships

Establish a social networking platform for mutual support  

A large membership base will insure that every group is adequately represented
