Polymath Industries, a Seattle start-up devoted to Social Entrepreneurship - is posting a wide variety of business concepts and raw ideas to assist aspiring entrepreneurs and form multi-disciplinary collaborations. Hyperlinks to international organizations promoting social entrepreneurship are also listed on the website.

The company described as a think tank designed to catalyze creative system engineering, promote civil discourse & collaborations through PDF pamphlets, and advance social entrepreneurship.  No pledges are required, the solicitation is for participation and text contributions to improve existing concepts posted on the website.  Additionally, if a social entrepreneur would like to take a posted idea, and run with it to start a business in social entrepreneurship, that is definitely encouraged.

Items on the webpage include concepts in social dynamics, draft bio-therapeutics, theoretical social and physical sciences, and various bundles formed through technological knowledge management. All concepts and compilations contained on the page are raw ideas or "White Board" creativity, with novelty yet to be determined as of December 2009.

It is theorized that multi-disciplinary collaboration through "Copyleft" exposure on the virtual realm will promote team formation to accomplish 21st Century Problem Solving.

Questions regarding the initiative can be sent to Mr. Gerson below.

Definition - A Social Entrepreneur is someone who recognizes a social problem and uses entrepreneurial principles to organize, create, and manage a venture to make social change. Whereas a business entrepreneur typically measures performance in profit and return, a social entrepreneur assesses success in terms of the impact s/he has on society.
