Police Brutality Against Students

The Issue

Hello,

On November 9, 2011, police brutally beat students at the University of California while peacefully protesting as part of the Occupy Cal organization. The NYA is collecting signatures in order to bring attention to the issue and demand that the Berkeley Police issue an apology and make reparations to the students of Berkeley.

The right to association and protest are fundamental rights in the constitution and need to be protected. We need to set an example to our citizens and the world that police brutality and the violation of these rights will not be tolerated.

Thank you.
