About this Petition Petition Letter

Because homeless people have been so dehumanized in our cities, states and in our Nation.  We believe the need for equally fair treatment is long overdue.  In order to achieve the Equality these people in crisis so desperately deserve, we are going to have to address this issue from all perspectives, including the law.  We have to amend the existing non discrimination ordinance to include the most disenfranchised minorities.

Discrimination toward Homelessness

Dear Councilman

I am writing you today in hopes of gaining your full attention on the matter of homelessness. These people are in crisis and yet everyday they face an uphill battle just to receive the basics. These basics do not even encompass their basic needs. The way Asheville is allowed to treat is homeless citizens should be criminal.
I urge you to support a comprehensive non discrimination ordinance for the city of Asheville and begin protecting all of its citizens.
