The residents oppose this mega-sports complex plan of commercial over-development and the intrusion of non-residential activity as it will have a devastating effect on the quality of life in the surrounding residential neighborhoods and overall unique quality of Skaneateles Village and Township, as well as adverse environmental impacts upon the area surrounding the proposed complex. The historical documented impacts of such development that we want to prevent by denying this proposal include traffic congestion, increased crime, significant loss of property values, and environmental threats such as air pollution from all the extra cars and team buses, light glare from the sports fields, excess noise and change in the overall image and appearance of the community of Skaneateles.
