When someone is spewing racialy- or sexually-oriented epitephs at someone while beating, stabbing and burning them, this is clearly a hate crime. It is high-time that people understand that assaulting and seriously injuring someone because of thier race, creed, color, religions, or sexual orientation is completely unacceptable. This was the intent and purpose of the James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Act. This clearly was a crime motivated by bias or prejudice, which places it under the requirements of the James byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Act of 2001.

We the undersigned request that you prosecute this vicious assault on htis young man as the hate crime that it so clearly is.
