On February 26, 2012, George Zimmerman, a self-appointed community watchdog, followed (against the direction of a 911 operator), confronted, and shot and killed an unarmed teenager-Trayvon Martin, who was carrying only a cell phone, a bag of skittles, and a can of iced tea, in Sanford Florida. Since then, the news of this incident has sparked a national outcry for his arrest. In the midst of this, Mr. Zimmerman has recently started an internet website that has requested "donations" to his current "plight," as he remained hidden from his attorneys, the media, and the country. He is now in police custody, but despite this fact, the site still remains; and he (and whomever he has delegated to operate this site) continues to seek money to support his "cause." It is extremely offensive that he has attempted to not only rally support for the killing of an unarmed teenager, but to also capitalize upon this tragedy by seeking monetary gain through the Paypal service. We are demanding that Paypal denounce this deplorable and completely immoral attempt at capitalizing from this tragedy, and suspend the account that Mr. Zimmerman has obtained with them. We are calling for Paypal to discontinue in any aide of Mr. Zimmerman's capitalization attempts from the death of Trayvon Martin, who he killed.
