Israel is considering an historic bill that would ban the import, production and sale of fur products. While other countries have banned fur farms or the farming of certain species, no one else has a ban on the fur trade. Though Israel holds a small share of the worldwide market for fur, this ban would impact international production and send a strong message to other countries. This could be the first step in putting an end to the cruel fur industry.
The bill has widespread support from the public, politicians and celebrities around the world, but fur industry lobbyists have successfully stalled the ban. In early September, the bill was sent back for review - again - just a day before the vote was to take place.
The fur trade kills approximately 70 million animals worldwide every year. It's a cruel life and an even crueler death - fur animals are painfully trapped in the wild or factory farmed in cramped cages and then electrocuted, gassed, poisoned or skinned alive.
Israel has the opportunity to set a precedent for compassion toward animals. Tell them to pass the ban on fur.

Please Support the Fur Ban in Israel
Greetings
I was deeply disappointed to learn that the bill to ban the production and trade of fur in Israel was once again delayed.
As you know, there is widespread public support for a ban on fur, both in Israel and internationally. Approximately 70 million animals are victims of the fur industry every year, farmed in small cages and facing a brutal death.
The bill in Israel has been reviewed many times, by many stakeholders and it is a solid piece of legislation that is being stalled by corporate interests. Please do not let greed stop this historic bill - Israel has the opportunity to become a world leader in compassion. If this ban is enacted, Israel will set an example that will save countless animals from cruelty and help put an end to an industry that is condemned around the world.
I urge you to support the bill to ban fur trade and production in Israel and take action to ensure that it becomes law.
Thank you.
