H.R. 3017, the U.S. House version of ENDA, is ready to be sent to the U.S. House floor for a vote. It is imperative that this bill be voted on before mid-term elections. The numbers are good, but they should be better.

ENDA would mean the end to the disgraceful and disgusting practice of firing someone because they are gay. Job security should have nothing to do with sexual orientation.

Job = food. Job = housing. Job = health care. Job = self-esteem. Job = economic stimulus. Job = survival.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi has pledged to bring ENDA to a vote soon. Let's remind her, and her colleagues in Washington, that the time is now. Right now.

Pass ENDA Now

Greetings,

The time to pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act is now.

The passage of ENDA -- HR 3017, S 1584 -- would eliminate the right of over 30 states to fire competent, capable, committed employees for the sheer fact that they are homosexual, or do not fit into a perceived gender stereotype.

You must no longer allow this government sanctioned discrimination.

If you already support ENDA, please advocate for its introduction and passage.

If you are unsure of the profound impact that ENDA will have on hundreds of thousands of Americans, I ask you take a moment to consider the overwhelming effect that job security has on an American worker. Job security means knowing where your next meal comes from, health insurance for you and your family, it means self-esteem and societal support. Having a job means survival.

Majorities in both the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House support ENDA. American citizens understand that workplace discrimination is a moral setback to equality and justice.

Not one more American worker should lose a job because of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Please help to pass ENDA now.
