Iraq Veterans Against the War's Operation Recovery Campaign aims to end the military's practice of deploying troops who are suffering from severe trauma.  Thousands of service members are being sent to war despite suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Military Sexual Trauma (MST), and Combat Stress.

In fact, of the 2.1 million troops who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, more than 300,000 of us have served 3 or more tours of duty.  Many are currently facing deployment as we try to recover from the severe trauma we have already experienced.  But, military commanders across all branches are pushing service members far past human limits for the sake of 'combat readiness.'

Operation Recovery will defend a soldier's right to heal and hold accountable those responsible for re-deploying traumatized troops.  Without the use of traumatized troops, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan could not continue.  Join our efforts by signing our Pledge of Support.

The Operation Recovery Campaign insists that:

- Service Members have the right to Heal.

- Service members have the right to receive honest advice from medical professionals.  No commander shall override the expertise of medical professionals.

- Service members who experience PTSD, TBI, MST, and combat stress have the right to exit the traumatic situation and receive immediate support, and compensation.

We can end the egregious practice of sending traumatized troops back to war, and thereby bring the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan to an end, but we need your help.  Sign the Pledge of Support for Operation Recovery today.

Iraq Veterans Against the War's Operation Recovery Campaign

Stop the Deployment of Traumatized Troops

The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are continuing through the use of exhausted troops who have been on multiple tours of duty and suffer deeply from the trauma of war. It is cruel and inhumane to deploy soldiers who are medically unfit for combat.

* I pledge my support to Operation Recovery, Iraq Veterans Against the War's campaign to stop the deployment of traumatized troops.

* I demand accountability from those who are responsible for sending service members who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, Military Sexual Trauma, and Combat Stress back into the very source of their trauma.

* I demand an end to the cruel practice of deploying traumatized troops.

* I pledge to support the Operation Recovery campaign to the best of my ability. In a war where soldiers are being injured faster than the military can treat them, I will work alongside veterans and service members to end the cycles of trauma and abuse.
