Without tougher laws against pedophilia Canada will continue to be a safe haven for pedophiles.
 

Laws against sexual exploitation of children remain weak. In fact, the consequences for tax evasion are greater than those for sexually abusing a child.

The Canadian Prime-Minister remains passive on this issue.

Is it that victims of child rape are too young to vote?

In Canada if someone refuses a sobriety test they are automatically assumed guilty. Considering the severity of the crime in question, the same should apply when a suspect is asked whether they have raped a child.  If they are innocent they should be happy to take a polygraph and prove their innocence.  What reason would an innocent man refuse a lie detector?
