It seems that yet another injustice is in the process of unfolding for a Pit Bull named Bones, whose owner is accused of murdering his roommate.Bones is a victim himself of improper handling, irresponsibility, and cruelty. Bones story has been covered by several reporters and posted on BSL News.org. Bones “will most likely be killed by the New York City Department of Health because he might have been an unwilling accomplice in the murder of his junkie owner’s roommate. Bones was allegedly used as a weapon by junkie Shaun Dyer during an argument between himself and David Shadha last month. The abusive owner allegedly made Bones bite the roommate David Shadha but it was not Bones that caused his death. It was a blow to the head perpetrated by Shaun Dyer with what was most likely a metal pipe.” I urge you to refrain from killing Bones, but rather work with a rescue group that would be willing to evaluate Bones and rehab him if needed and place him in a loving safe home. Please do not do what Detroit did, killing a poor emaciated dog named Ace. The whole world has been watching Detroit and I urge you to ensure that the world sees another story coming out of NY. One of right action, compassion and responsible handling of this situation. Bones needs to live and be placed in a loving home. Thank you.
