Dear Steve Jobs/ sjobs@apple.com,

Thanks for the "freedom from porn" and blocking sexual content from the I-phone and I-pad but I was actually happy with the plain, old freedom. You stated that the times are a-changin but that old Bill of Rights, freedom of speech, free press stuff was actually working out pretty well for me. I kind of liked those old fashioned, Enlightenment era, Jeffersonian freedoms that let me read and think and look at whatever I choose. If I wanted freedom from porn I would move to China or Iran where I also wouldn't be allowed to look at the internet or organize politically.

So even though this glitzy new freedom from porn you've come up with sounds exciting I think I will stick with the plain old freedom to look at and think what I want. I don't believe that the mostly white, mostly blonde adult women in American porn are sex trafficked teenagers from Bangladesh because I'm not a complete moron. You've stated that people will care more about porn when they have kids. Well I kind of liked not being restricted to reading only things that are appropriate for your kids. It's your job to watch your kids.

When the I-phone blocks apps like GayNewYork and Evangelical Christian blogs are talking about how much they like you it's a sign something is wrong. Let people look at whatever they choose on the I-phone and I-pad or I will stop purchasing Apple products. I was pretty happy with the old kind of freedom and would appreciate you not chipping away at it.
