My petition is to urge people to be aware and take action against all types of factory farming.  I will describe some of brutal techniques used against the animals and touch base on the emotions that these animals are known to have.

Dear Representative

Our animals are being tortured. It is understood that so many consumers buy and eat meat processed by factories and this helps to support our "economy". However, these animals are taken from or never had the opportunity to experience life in a natural and pleasant habitat.

Factory farmed animals are skinned and burned alive. Cows are often branded in their faces with no pain killers. Pigs and cows are both hit in the heads simply for being what they are and they have their throats cut, while still fully conscious. Chickens are beheaded and mutilated by the mechanical "killing machine". This is legal, yet it is torture.

It is proven that these animals have emotions much like that of a human. The only difference is they can not voice them with words. In exchange for words, they use cries, whimpers, and screams of pain. They love and long to care for their young, just like the human race, but have their babies taken from them.

I beg of you to see into your hearts and outlaw these horrible acts performed in the United States of America.
