NEVER GIVE UP

Never give up. Never, never, never give up. I do not believe that we will get single payer
this year, or next year, or maybe even the year after that. But eventually, we WILL
get single payer. It will get so terrible that even Republicans will beg for single payer.
 
This is the civil rights issue of our generation. We are laying the groundwork. We are
educating people about single payer and the problems in our current system. Every
little thing we do or say helps lay the foundation for a single payer system. We are
empowering people to speak out about health care. When we preach to the choir, we
are reminding the choir that their job is to sing.
 
Do not let others silence you, scold you, or put you down. Don't accept their excuses.
Learn from your mistakes. Above all, keep going!  Keep your eyes on the prize!
Know in your heart that what you are doing is right and has to be done.
 
As Ghandi said, "First they laugh at you, then they ignore you, then they fight you,
then you win!
