Ron Whisenant, 73, of Fresno, who was shot and killed in his antiques store business in Dinuba on August 18th, 2009 by Ernest Perez, 82, of Reedley who was ordered to stand trial for Whisenant's murder.

Tulare County Superior Court Judge Pat O'Hara also ordered Perez to stand trial on one count of elder abuse and 54 counts of child molestation. The molestation charges involve incidents from 1994 to July 2009, (Tulare County Assistant District Attorney Shani Jenkins)

Perez is being represented by the Tulare County Public Defender funded by our tax dollars. He was arraigned for trial March 2. Court date for Motion to Sever Trial has been POSTPONED for April 20th, 2010.

Our Father's murderer & known molestor will again be requesting Bail at the Tulare County Courthouse in Visalia, the defense will try to sever the trial which will make it harder to convict him on all counts. If at all possible we need your signature on this petition for the Bail Hearing to CONTEST the Bail & Release of this Dangerous & Disturbed man. Once the Judge sees this petition he will have no alternative but to DENY BAIL to Ernest Perez once again.

Dear Sir,

Our Father's murderer & known child molester will again be requesting Bail at the Tulare County Courthouse in Visalia, CA. On April 20th the public defender will request to sever the trial. We are submitting this petition with the signatures of frightened & concerned citizens that wish to CONTEST the Bail & Release of this Dangerous & Disturbed man.
We also recommend the trial NOT be severed.
We Pray this petition will prompt you to DENY BAIL to Ernest Perez once again and keep bith the Murder & Molestation trial as one.
