Enact Cannabis/Hemp Medicine in NC NOW!!!

North Carolina Legislators ignored the cry of the people and stalled in the House Health Committee a bill, HB 1380 that would have changed the laws to benefit the sick and suffering of our state this past year. Recently NCCPN Veterans Outreach Dir. Perry Parks and Veteran Micheal Krawitz defied the odds and now hold a Resolution to Enact Medical Marijuana Legislation based on sound Research and Medical Evidence.. The measure was unanimously backed by the NC Democrats. The Veterans Administration , and The American Medical Association both in recent months have come out in support of Cannabis Medicine and Research. HB1380 will receive a new bill number, and needs to be enacted immediately. The FDA has done it's best to block research, yet researchers and scientists around the world, in double blind placebo clinical human trials, have proven that Natural Plant Cannabis is Medicine. It has proven effective for PTSD, chronic pain, cancer, and a host of other immune and nervous system ailments like ALS, and , AIDS and Wasting as well as MS. .Research has proven that whole plant injected in tumors dissolves them and causes no damage to healthy surrounding tissue. Researchers at the University of Madrid , are fascinated at the potential uses for whole plant medicines. This would be a big step for NC, and a huge boost for our failing economy. Sativex, a now pharmaceutical whole plant extract spray, is now legally available in the UK and Canada for MS and Cancer patients through GW Pharmaceutical.
Medical Marijuana Legislation would create an environment that would take cannabis out of the hands of our gangs, and drug dealers and slow down teen usage as we re-educate and tell the truth about this plant. . Without a patient card from a DR., you will not be able to buy medical marijuana. Caffeine, tobacco, and alcohol have been proven to be much more harmful than Cannabis. Natural Plant Cannabis/hemp is now proven to have definite clinical use. It would create jobs in every sector of society from blue collar to white collar and allow our citizens to work in a thriving industry that is establishing itself in 15 other states, including our U.S. Capitol , Washington D.C. The NCCPN is working within the Regional Councils of our state to make this program a reality based on undeniable scientific and medical evidence for our Veterans and Patients.
It is time to STOP THE BUREAUCRATIC MANEUVERING, turn our State budget around for the better, AND PASS THIS LEGISLATION BASED ON FACT AND TRUTH. This program will create an estimated $68,000,000 in state revenue in the first year alone and create 1000's of jobs for our unemployed. NC Legislators are elected to represent the voters of this state. Legal Legislation could save our state from the huge Budget Deficit we are facing and help protect our First Amendment Right to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness which includes the right to choose the medicine we put in our bodies. The Data coming out of Colorado is a proven model.
Have enough compassion and intelligence to realize the injustice being committed against the sick in our state and protect them.. Enact Compassionate Legislation NOW!! There are seriously ill patients that want and deserve to live a quality life free of the fear of arrest and use this medicine under the supervision of their DR. Cancer patients do not deserve to be in jail and neither does any other NC Veteran or citizen who has found relief from serious symptoms of illness/disease or Prescription Narcotics because of Cannabis. And, on another issue, let our farmers grow hemp, please. Hemp house in Asheville, and help save our environment while you are at it.

Our issue has been dodged to the most severe degree by the very Legislators that are elected and paid to represent the citizens of this state. We demand that immediate attention be given to this issue, based on proven scientific and medical evidence. We expect our Governor to act on this immediately and protect the Veterans and Patients of our State. NC citizens have a right to choose a medicine that works best for them and this decision should be left up to the Doctors and Researchers who paid for college educations to study medicine. END the unjust Cannabis/Hemp Laws in this great State. Show compassion for your sick and suffering. Use some of the millions donated for Cancer Research to RESEARCH CANNABIS YOURSELF!!! NO MORE LIES and BUREAUCRACY. The NC citizens who pay your paycheck with their hard earned tax dollars deserve better than this.
