Give full coverage to the Paralympics

The Issue

The Olympics, the largest sporting event in the world, are about camaraderie, competition, and doing things that your country will remember for years to come. The Paralympics for people with physical disabilities are the second largest sporting event in the world, are held in the same place as the olympics, and are about the same things...but where is the camaraderie in knowing that your country either is not watching, or cannot watch? How can you be remembered when many people in your country may not even know you're competing? This year the UK, Brazil, Germany, and Australia are the only countries that are broadcasting the Paralympics. Therefore, we are petitioning NBC, who does most of the major coverage of the Olympics in the US, to give the same amount of coverage to the Paralympics. This is a chance to be leaders in changing the way people think that the US cannot pass up.
