Tired of spending 45 minutes looking for an available parking spot?

Tired of running late to class?

Tired of racing other students for that one open parking spot?

Tired of getting to the parking lot at 7 AM, taking a nap in your car, and waking up and going to class?

Tired of trying to sneakily park in a faculty lot?

Tired of waiting on a car that you think is pulling out only to discover that the student is just perfecting his/her parking job?

We are!  We are C.O.L.L.A.P.S.E.: Cougars Opposed to Lack of Lots and Available Parking Spots Everyday! 

It is time for the University of Houston to take responsibility for this problem and make amends. As students, we demand:

1)   1) MORE parking spots. 2,300 is not going to be enough.

2)   2) Refunds for students who were wrongly ticketed for parking in ‘illegal’ spots this Fall.

3)   3) A promise from the University of Houston that they will reduce the ‘oversell percentage’ of student commuter permits. (We know that you sold over 10,000 more permits than you had available spots, and it has been a miserable semester because of this.)

4)   4) A written apology to your students who simply want to go to class and have consequently spent countless, frustrating hours looking for spots.
