Why This Is Important

Juan Ramirez was deported in October 2006 to Colombia. He lost his refugee claim in the late 1990’s and was alleged to have committed crimes against humanity with no evidence.

He left behind his wife, 4 Canadian children, and family soccer business in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. After being separated for 2.5 years, Juan’s wife Dara accepted a teaching position in Iraq to reunite their family while their immigration application was being processed. In recent months the Colombian government has provided the Canadian embassy with documentation that proves Juan’s innocence as a Colombian military member and as a civilian.

There has been a huge injustice here. He has NOT committed crimes against humanity and we need this label removed by Minister Kenney. We need Minister Kenney to provide him with a Temporary Residency Permit. We need Juan Ramirez to be able to live his life with his wife and four kids here in Canada!

Four children should not be forced to live without their innocent father!
