As a woman in the military I have learned how to survive. I all made the decision to faithfully serve under God because in God we trust. I continue to adapt and overcome coping with deployments (being away from our loved ones for months at a time). The military provides financial stability and security along with other benefits to encourage us to continue to serve. Being a service member does not mean we neglect our parental responsibilities. What we will never understand or settle for is being told otherwise. Women are not less than capable as mothers to care for our child(ren) because of our military obligation. I volunteered to fight for the nation's freedom even if it means paying the ultimate price. Why am I being punished for this great sacrifice? Praying we women will be able to share equal parts in our children's lives.
