- The field has fantastic views across the Weald and all the way to the South Downs.
- It is a much needed green space in an expanding urban line. Badgers (with a sett on the land), deer, owls and bats are all frequent visitors
- Cuckfield is/has already provided 164 new houses in recent years (the village only has 1000!). The village doesn't need 23 more!
- The design gives access to all the surrounding fields. That's probably another 200 just waiting.
- The field has already been through one application and planning appeal. With a huge effort from local residents, the developers lost that, but have quickly resubmitted another design. Looks like they will keep going until they get something.
