I want Marion Co's dog warden to release Max and NOT kill him.

I want Marion Co's dog warden to release Max and NOT kill him.

The Issue

"He's my best friend and I love him very much." Says Max's owner, Dave.

Dave rescued Max as a puppy and wrapped him in his own shirt, the poor puppy was so scared. Max has escaped the yard twice, and the Marion Co Dog Warden, Aime Adams says Max is a "vicious" breed and wants him killed.

If you see Max's picture, it is clear he is not a "pit bull" or even vicious. He is a family dog. And Dave is devastated by the sudden loss of his dog. If he gets his dog back, Max will not get out again and he most certainly is not agressive. This owner has learned his lesson. Marion Co Dog Warden Aime Adams has NO PROOF and cannot even identify a "vicious" breed, it is obvious. She refuses to do anything. Additionally, she has her own site that states she is Aime Adams - Dog Warden. The site is http://www.mariononline.com/dogs/index.htm An inflated ego in a small town seems to be the real problem.

As an animal welfare activist, I wonder how the Warden can look herself in the face and not be ashamed. She is clearly abusing her power and making an innocent dog pay for her ego trip. Our demands for Max are simple: that he be released to his family and no longer be held by Marion County's Dog Warden. Max does not deserve to die for being born looking like a certain breed.

Please help Max. We will keep this petition updated and link to Max's facebook Fan Page, Causes page, and we will be starting events to CALL the Marion County Dog Warden, Aime Adams, and let her know that we will not back down until Max is rightfully set free. We will protest and not back down. We will be at the court hearings and by Max's and Dave's side every step of the way.

Help up bring Max home.

Please be polite as possible and insist that Max go home to his family. He is a good dog, and does not deserve the horrible treatment he is being given.
