Greetings,

The Administration and Congress have been dragging their feet for too long on the implementation of mandatory E-verification across the board for all employers, public and private, and all employees, both potential new hires and current employees. This system is already at least as accurate as other such systems like the social security, medicare, and income tax systems. This could be the first step in assuring that every illegal alien is registered so we know where he is and who he is and that they all have tax identification numbers. Regular audits of employer E-verification records would soon identify the miscreant employers who are hiring illegal aliens and would remove the excuse that they didn't hire them "knowlingly."

Our borders can never be secure as long as an illegal alien thinks he will be home free if he can escape the immediate environs of the border. Vigorous and continuous internal enforcement based on E-verfication will create a disincentive for border violations and enable the expeditious repatriation of a relatively large number of illegal aliens who are surplus to our economy.

We petition the Congress and the Administration to take action immediately to make E-verification mandatory across the board.
