If you're willing to help more then the average person, volunteering is a great way to help. There are nonprofit organizations who are building or renovating homeless shelters. I know someone who works for a organization that renovates homes for the homeless and there always looking for someone to help paint a room, or donate toys, just anything to help. Getting contact with one of those organizations and asking to help is always welcome, and a great help! An hour or so of your time could equal a world of difference to someone else!
