Many endangered species are losing their homes, and many different ecosystems are getting destroyed. The rainforest also provides 90% of the world's biodiversity, and more than half of the world's oxygen. Right now, the problem is deforestation and desertification. Most of the trees cut down are burned, not even used for furniture or for other uses. Since more land is available after trees are cut, cattle ranchers bring in their cows to graze on the land, and the land becomes unable to support the vegetation grown on it, making it useless. It soon changes into a desert. If the rainforest is cut down, then we will die.
