I’m Angie, a cleaner at Sunshine Plaza.
I’ve worked at this centre for many years. I take great pride in my work, and I love talking to customers and helping shoppers find their way.
But, I and many cleaners like myself are struggling. In spite of the important work that we do, many of us can’t afford to pay our bills and put food in the cupboard, making $16.57 an hour.
Our shopping centre is a part of our community. It’s full of families and friends, and it’s where many people make their livelihoods. But, because shopping centre owners keep slashing cleaning contracts, there isn’t enough money to pay proper wages or have adequate staff on the floor.
Please join me in asking Lend Lease to do the right thing and stand up for our community. Please join me in asking Lend Lease to take their share of responsibility for the situation cleaners are in.
Stand up for your community!
Greetings,
I just signed the following petition addressed to: Lend Lease.
----------------
Stand up for your community!
Lend Lease should do everything its power to help cleaners across Australia. Angie has been working at your centre for many years, but because of the low wages, she and her co-workers are struggling to make ends meet.
These are hardworking families in our local community, and it’s unfair and unjust that they should be treated this way.
I’m calling on Lend lease to do the right thing and help cleaners like Angie. Stand up for the centres that are at the heart of the community, and the cleaners who keep shoppers like myself happy to return.

Sincerely,
[Your name]
