Allow "pen names" for Internet social media and e-mail

The Issue

The Internet is easy to hack. So, this is important.

For centuries, some of the best authors have used "pen names" such at Samuel Clemens, who was known as "Mark Twain".

Today, Internet social media services, such as Facebook and Google, can ban bloggers like "Mark Twain" and even delete their accounts.

Now, Congress now wants to change CFAA (The Computer Fraud and Abuse Act) to make it a crime to use a "pen name" if the social media website tells you not to.

Did you know that you can copyright a book with the U. S. Government, yet NEVER give the government your real name? It's called "pseudonymous". Why can't Facebook and Google do the same thing with you and your family?

If Congress will change the law at all, it should force Internet social media and E-mail services to encourage users to use a "pen name"... to protect authors from angry readers and from Internet hackers... Also, Internet social media and E-mail services must never require you to give your real name ANYWHERE.

If Hotmail doesn't know your real name, then a hacker can't find it there. If the copyright office doesn't need your real name, then Hotmail doesn't either.

The only exception should be with banks and financial payments, but that's completely separate from the name people use for services like Facebook and Hotmail.
