About this Petition Petition Letter

       Million of people have went to jail, lost scholarships, lost jobs, lost custody of their children, and sometimes go to prision because they smoke marijuana. We all know by now that marijuana is not a harmfull substance, and should not be classified as a drug.  I have smoked marijuana for 15 years, and i do not do any other drugs.  ]I function everyday, but i have to worry day in and out of being pulled over with a joint or maybe a roach flys back in my window and I have to go to jail.  IS  THIS  AMERICA, LAND OF THE FREE?  It is my choice to decide what I like and how I want to relax.  I cant stand the taste and side affects of alcohol and its legal for everyone over 21 and that is fine.  Laws are in place to protect the public from peope who do not use alcohol properly and the same should be true for marijuana. 

      Taxing and regulating marijuana is the answer to all of our prayers.  Billions of dollars are going to mexico and violence is a daily reality for the people of mexico because thers is a huge profit in the black market  just like in prohibition.  When alchol was made legal again crime droped, and the same will happen when we legalize marijuana.  We are the only country in the whole world that does not grow hemp.  Why?  It has a ton of uses, why are we not growing hemp?  People start to lose fait in government when we see that a mistake was made and nobody stands up to correct it.
