The Atlanta Spirit never wanted a hockey team and outfitted it for as little as possible.  They posioned sales that would have kept the team in Atlanta.  Winnipeg can wait a few more years to get their own team.  Keep the Thrashers where they belong.

Keep The Atlanta Thrasher and Hockey in Atlanta

Greetings Board of NHL Governors,

We the fans and family of the Atlanta Thrashers ask you to consider not only what your vote may mean to Thrashers fan but also to the sport of hockey, the NHL, and the communities in Atlanta that have been helped so much by the generosity of the fans and players. The Atlanta Spirit posioned potential sales that would keep the Thrashers in Atlanta. They have stated that they have been trying to sell the team since they acquired them and have not truly supported the sport. They are losing money on the Hawks and the Arena itself but for some reason do not want to lose these assets. I have heard rumors that the NHL wants to expand in the next few years and Winnipeg can have their team then. We have support we just need proper management. The Spirt probably does not want to sell the team to a local buyer that just wants the Thrashers because of the bylaws stating they'd have to cut a break to the purchaser playing in the arena.

Please Keep Hockey Strong in Atlanta and don't take away our team.
