- Hywel Dda health board and the Welsh Government
-
Hywel Dda Health Board is proposing to downgrade Prince Philip Hospital by removing services, cutting bed numbers and closing its A&E department.
But rather than lose yet more health services, we believe a town the size of Llanelli needs a fully functioning district hospital with services and an A&E department which matches its population.
This is an official petition demanding just that and is backed by Llanelli town and rural councils, the Committee for the Improvement of Hospital Services and the Llanelli Star.
Join the fight for your hospital.

Give Llanelli a fully functioning district general hospital
Greetings,
I just signed the following petition addressed to: Hywel Dda health board and the Welsh Government.
----------------
Give Llanelli a fully functioning district general hospital
We, the people of Llanelli, the town with the largest population within the Hywel Dda health board area demand Prince Philip Hospital be restored to a fully functioning district general hospital with the return of major elective surgery, including gastrointestinal, vascular, urology, gynaecology and trauma, with support from the original five ITU beds fully staffed, which would support a fully staffed, consultant led accident and emergency department, providing support for the physicians.

Sincerely,
