My 18 year old granddaughter, Ashton, was shot in the back and killed by her ex-boyfriend. The DA made a plea deal with the murderer for 20 yrs. on voluntary manslaughter. Rumors are that the sheriff's deputy in charge was related to the murderer. The DA was not given some of the evidence that was taken. The murderer is a convicted drug dealer, but is also a police informant. There are many, many more discrepancies in this case and our family wants the Ga. State Attorney to look into this. It will not change the outcome of the deal, but maybe we can get a little peace of mind knowing that we did all we could do for Ashton.
