Why This Is Important

It has been well documented by Human Rights Watch as well as several international news media outlets that hundreds of gay Iraqis are being tortured and killed by Shiite fundamentalists in Baghdad and throughout all of Iraq.

Despite all the media coverage, neither the US armed forces nor the Iraqi government does anything to intervene.  The Iraqi government's Human Rights Ministry has condemned the killings, but empty words without strong actions suggest otherwise.

The United States as well as the Iraqi government must act swiftly to stop these atrocities.  We must not stand by idly and witness yet another heinous genocide occur.

Demand that your constituents act to address and remedy this serious human rights abuse.

RE: Murders of Gay Iraqis

Dear Representative

As your constituent, I implore that you act to address and remedy this serious human rights abuse.

Yours sincerely,
