Coal Seam Gas mining operations create substantial environmental damage, defile other pristine resources (chiefly water and soil) and negatively impact upon the health of organisms. As it seems (from international studies) that this damage can become irreversable, a STRONG body of independent research contrary to these claims SHOULD be the guarantee before any further operations are allowed to continue.
