Hmm quite interesting to me the fact that Marijuana laws have not changed in over half a decade.  This may very well be due to the ill information given to us by inexperienced people talking nonsense.  Marijuana first off does have medicinal value - no one can say otherwise.  my point in case, is that new states all over the country are beginning to realize the benefits of this wonder plant.

If only we could truly go green by helping our Environment and economy, by the many benefits of the worlds former top cash crop, Hemp.  Hemp differs greatly from marijuana because it contains minuscule, or trace amounts of the psychoactive THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) the main ingredient that makes marijuana users experience a marijuana high.  It is also a male plant, male plants produce no Marijuana only the female plants do.  Now whats with all this senseless deforestation to make paper, we can make paper from hemp.  In fact one acre of hemp yields three times as much cellulose to make paper than one acre of trees, and you can harvest it it more than once a year.  Also the Declaration Of Independence is written on hemp paper, obviously our forefathers knew the benefits of this plant.  They would surely be upset to learn that the paper in which set the foundations for this new country is now outlawed.

In addition we can derive a sustainable Eco-friendly fuel from hemp.  Lets keep our Mid-west corn for eating and use a more efficient plant instead.  Hemp is one of the strongest natural fibers known to man, this is noted for its past use of making rope to die down ships.  clothes can be made, bags ,boxes most paper products.  Hemp also needs little or no fertilizers due to the toughness of its genetics and it can be planted in, and grow most anywhere on the planet.

In conclusion, the information stated above was only to inform of the untapped benefits and resources that we need in today's era.  Hemp was legalized temporarily during World War II.  Its time for a change in this country but I am a simple college student and cannot change something like this at this moment in time.

To whom it may concern, I thank you for reading this information and hope you take these words to heart.

Enviornmental reforms regarding Hemp

To whom it may concern.

This petition is to gain a motion, to the reform of the laws regarding "Hemp" its about time we allow this plant to be harvested for its many benefits and stop targeting it for something its not. This plant could do wonders for the enviornment and economy but its only imaginable until something is done to change the status quo.
