Why This Is Important

Human Trafficking is the modern day slavery holding the young generation hostage, destroying their careers and sending many to an early grave. It is time to educate the public about this vicious act against the innocent.

To help victims, there is need to edcucate the public about the help that is available.

Dear Representative

Human trafficking is the modern day slavery. Many, including women, children and men are falling a prey without knowing. They also do not know that help is available. That is why I am craving your indulgence to help victims by educating the public to know that help is available. I was a victim of human trafficking and did not know that help was available until I was rescued through a divine means. I could have lost my life in the process because the torture on me was so great that I thought that death was the only way out. It is thesame for many victims. Please, help victims by creating awareness through community education, especially among immigrants, as international human trafficking is becoming more prevalent and many are suffering in silence. The United States is a land of freedom but many are in prison for committing no crime (I mean the prison of human trafficking). I felt like a prisoner and that was why I authored the book titled IMPRISONED: The Travails of a Trafficked Victim to help others.
