<p>The purpose of the proposed petition is to help stop the illegal whaling. The UN (United Nations) and the International Whaling Commision (IWC) has ignored the issue for far too long. We need these animal terrorist prosocuted. Our goal is to get over&nbsp;1,000 names on this and send it to the UN HQ, the UN Mission of The United States, Australia, and Japan, and also the IWC HQ in the UK. The whaling must stop. And if this plan fails, we will know who to contact for other&nbsp;campaigns for the cause.</p>

<p>This free website was created in order to help The Sea Shepherds in their annual campaign against illegal whaling in the Southern Ocean. Every year, hundreds of whales are killed by Japanese whalers under the guise of research. Commercial whaling was baned in 1986. But international laws state that a specific number of whales can be killed each year for the purpose of research. Whale meat is popular in Japan, so every winter, they send a fleet of ships to the Southern Ocean to harvest whales and allegedly collect tissue samples. International law also states that no part of the whale may be wasted, so the meat is legally sold on the open market in Japan. The whole purpose of the Japanese Whaling Fleet is to harvest meat, not tissue samples. So each year, The Sea Shepherd Antarctic Crew headed by Cpt. Paul Watson travels to the Southern Ocean to battle the illegal whalers. Lately, the battles have been heating up, and The Sea Shepherds need your help. Please sign the petition and pledge to help stop illegal whaling.</p>
