Due to an antiquated immigration law this God-fearing man and upstanding pillar of my community is being asked to leave the country voluntarily simply because he "entered the country without inspection". Domingo Cruz is a chef who has been a productive member of American society for 10 years. He is an active, well-respected member in his local church (Agape Worship Center in Bloomfield NJ), a devoted father and loving husband. Due this unfair and unbelievably harsh action that the Immigration and Naturalization Service has decided to take Domingo will have to uproot his beautiful wife and 3 children. His wife Susanna Cruz is a well-respected licensed practioner nurse in Newark NJ. She works in pediatrics in one of the best neo-natal hospitals in New Jersey. They are parents to 3 amazing children Natalia (7), Xavier (4), Xiomara (1). I, along with their family and friends, find it preposterous that the United States will allow true criminals to escape justice through legal loopholes and bail out greedy bankers with questionable banking methods who inspire nothing but lack of trust in Americans. Yet the United States of America and INS cannot find within their power or their consciences to allow an inspiring individual such as Mr. Cruz to remain here. He has been nothing but an exemplary citizen who has proven to be hardworking, honest and generous to all the people in his life. Domingo and his wife embody all the qualities that we as Americans should aspire to have. Simply because he was not born here does not imply that he should have less of a chance at making a better life for himself and his family.
